Florida Ballet Festival Company

Florida Ballet Festival Company is the perfect place for advanced, pre-professional, and professional dancers who want to improve their level under the instruction of the master teacher and coach Mr. Fidel Herrouet.  Former Fidel Herrouet Alumni are currently dancing in many companies and performing groups.

With that conservatory program we work with serious and committed students on the basis of vigorous program. Under the academic direction Mrs. Adela Sanabria, students work with progressive levels of ballet technique.

We are ready to help build your child's dance skills. With a strong base, we are able to create better dancers. At our locally owned and operated dance school, we offer lessons in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Variations  as well in complimentary program and progressive ballet technique acrobatics and tap dance. We have over 38 years of experience.

Meet Adela and Fidel, Our Highly Trained Dance Instructors

Married since 1999, they have put all their experienced in the field of ballet together to offer the best teaching method and allow their students to participate in  this art in a competitive way. Adela and Fidel have over 38 years of experience as dance instructors. They have earned the highest scores at national and international competitions. 

Fidel Herrouet

Current Occupation: Artistic Director for Florida Ballet Festival Company of Florida, USA

Graduated from the National School of Arts in Camaguey, Cuba. Formed part of the National Company of Ballet of Camaguey, Cuba; where 18 years of the profession were exercised (1980-1998). Played various roles in different categories: Ballet Body A as well as soloist in 1996. Being a member of such company, a two-year contract was completed as a Principal Dancer in the Municipal Company of Ballet of Trujillo, Peru. Upon completing the contact, an invitation to form part of the Ballet Atelier, Costa Rica, as a Master and Choreographer is welcomed. One year later, moved up to Artistic Director leaving aside participation in the stage as a dancer in order to concentrate on the aspects of choreography and technique for the Company.

Former Masters: Don Fernando Alonso, Jorge Lefebre, Edik Aroutinian, Maria Eugenia Reyes, Osvaldo Beiro, etc....

Countries Visited as a Dancer: Russia, Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Czech Republic, Romania, Mexico, Martinique, Guadalupe, Jamaica, Peru, and Costa Rica. 

Interpreted Repertoire: Body of Ballet: La Fille Mal Gardee, Coppelia, Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, Black and White Concert, Dialogues and Encounters, Cantata, Symphony in D, Medea, Lake of the Swans, Tango Episode, etc....

As a Soloist and Principal Dancer: Lake of Swans, Sorcerer in Lake of Swans, Coppelius in Coppelia, La Fille Mal Gardee, Hilarion of Giselle, 7th symphony of Beethoven, Majisimo, Paquita, Pas Classique, Pas de Deux in Tango Episode, Tomy, etc....

Festivals Participation: International Festival in La Habana, Cuba (3 Consecutive times), Art Festival in Mexico, International Festival of Ballet in Trujillo, Educator Dance Event of America 2002 in Costa Rica. First, second, and third Central American array of Classic Ballet in Nicaragua (2003, 2004, 2005). 2007 Star Quest in Chicago.

Master Invitations to Impart Workshops and Seminars: In Nicaragua (2003, 2004, 2005). In El Salvador (2003), Master of Ballet for the National Company of Dance of Costa Rica during two periods (From June to December 2002). Dance Fest of Costa Rica (2008). Awards/Prizes Awarded to Disciplined Dancers Individually or Group-wise: Platinum, Vivaldiana Choreography, group category DEA 2002. Gold individual category DEA 2002. Bronze individual category DEA 2002. Star Quest's Platinum soloist category in Chicago 2007.

Adela Sanabria

Ballerina and Master who has consecrated her life to the teaching of classical ballet. She begin her studies at the Metropolitan Ballet of Caracas Venezuela and later obtained her preparation for teaching under the methodology of the cuban ballet school and has achieved programs of the Royal Academy of London. At Ballerina come she had opportunity to participate in various principle roles both classic and contemporaneous. Among her teachers, mentors, and masters stand  out Fernando Alonso and Ramona De Saa, important figures in the world of ballet.

Aside from specializing in the teaching of ballet, Adela was written numerous book on the methodology and pedagogy for teaching the preliminary years of ballet. She has participate in various different ballet conferences in an international level, and her students have achieved important awards in different nationals, internationals, and worldwide ballet competition such as Dance Educator of America, Cuba Ballet Competition, Starquest Chicago, Miami and Orlando Ballet Competition.

In 1999 she married to the master ballet teacher Fidel Herrouet and together they had been working first at the Ballet de Camara Atelier Costa Rica and now at Florida Ballet Festival Company in Florida USA
